CSCF Consolidates Two Orange County Career Services Centers Into One Larger Central Location
Orlando, FL – In a move to provide extended and more centralized services to a wider range of career seekers in the five-county region, CareerSource Central Florida will be consolidating staff and resources from its South and East Orange County Career Services Centers (CSC) into one larger, more strategically-located CSC closer to the Orlando International Airport, on Semoran Boulevard (Hwy. 436) near Hoffner.
Below is a timeline:
East Orange CSC – Closes doors end of business on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016
South Orange CSC – Closes doors end of business on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016
New Consolidated Center near Airport on Hwy. 436 – Currently anticipating a Grand Opening in December 2016. More information will be communicated as soon as it is available.
During the interim period, customers served by the East Orange County CSC may access services at our West and South (until it closes in November) CSCs, and may utilize online services at EmployFlorida.com, including searching and applying for employment opportunities, from any computer with internet access.
CareerSource Central Florida will realize a total savings of nearly $1M over 5 years by consolidating the current East and South Orange County CSCs. “We’re consolidating two brick and mortar locations into one larger, more comprehensive service center, which allows us a substantial cost savings. This gives us the opportunity to explore greater access to our services through community partner opportunities in our region,” said Mimi Coenen, CareerSource Central Florida Chief Operations Officer.
Signage in the South and East CSCs is posted to announce the pending closures, and updates will be distributed via news release, website, and social media as a Grand Opening date is set.
“This move comes at a time in the roll-out of our strategic initiatives that allows us to both save money and, more importantly, provide more efficient services to more people in our community who need them,” said CareerSource Central Florida President/CEO Pamela Nabors. “We’re excited to make this move and usher in a new era in business and career service delivery that is more catered to each individual’s needs.”
