CareerSource Central Florida Warmly Support Victory Cup Initiative with $10,000 Sponsorship

In early February, the Victory Cup Initiative hosted its annual breakfast benefit event to create a platform where companies come together for philanthropic investing with a twist. This unique, annual event is designed to provide a high-profile opportunity for charitable organizations to tell their stories, build their strategies and partner with business and community leaders to make a difference in Central Florida. The Victory Cup Initiative brought local nonprofits from various industries together in hopes of winning the grand prize of $20,000.

During this event, ten local nonprofits were given less than three minutes to pitch who they are, how they’re changing lives and how they are serving the community. Participating organizations ranged from a local food bank to an Alzheimer’s resource center and each came with a very thought-provoking story to share. Although each organization left the event a winner of at least a $1,000 cash prize, members of the audience were given the opportunity to vote for the grand prize winner of $20,000 which turned out to be the “Camaraderie Foundation” – an organization committed to providing healing for invisible war wounds. The second place prize of $15,000 was presented to “Chance 2 Dance”, a program for children, youth and adult with varying disabilities to participate in a quality dance program. And in a twist of serendipity, the winner of the third place $10,000 prize sponsored and presented by CSCF, happened to be long-time community partner, The Jobs Partnership of Florida.

CSCF is excited and honored to continue partnering with the Victory Cup Initiative and local organizations that create an environment for positive and sustainable change within the community.
