Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Six to twelve months experience preferred. Must have the ability to operate kitchen equipment, follow recipes, measure and mix ingredients; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time; complete safety training and certifications. Move, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds. Must have the ability to communicate in English with co-workers and able to follow instructions. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. Employer conducts drug test, and background checks.
Job Responsibilities:Will prepare fresh ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, prepare cold foods, operate all kitchen equipment for food preparation, test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, monitor food quality while preparing food, ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to be served, wash and disinfect kitchen area and equipment, check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, set-up and break-down work station; monitor the quality of food prepared throughout shift.
