CareerSource Central Florida is recruiting for a Fortune 500 Company located in the Kissimmee, Florida area . Positions: Toll Collectors and Toll Collectors Supervisors. On the spot interviews on Friday, October 13th from, 10am to 4pm at our office located at 1392 E. Vine Street, Kissimmee, FL 34744.

1. Position: Toll Collector Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities of the Toll Collector Supervisor:

  • Directs and monitors toll collector activity to ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Administers disciplinary action as required.
  • Completes performance evaluations and progress reviews for toll collectors.
  • Ensures proper toll lane coverage and adequate number of toll collectors.
  • Issues change funds, supplies and equipment to collectors for work shift assignments.
  • Ensures collectors receive proper rest and meal breaks.
  • Relieves collectors as required. Prepares operational reports as required by procedures.
  • Handles coin vault(s) operations as specified by procedures.
  • Maintains traffic flow through toll facility.
  • Monitors operation of toll collection equipment to ensure proper revenue collection.
  • Performs security and safety related duties as required by procedures, including proper transfer of money.
  • Communicate with motorists and respond to inquiries.
  • Ensures toll collectors are properly trained in current operational procedures and policies.
  • Ability to perform duties of the toll facility manager in his or her absence to include preparation of daily and monthly reports, reviewing and analyzing collector variances, assist in preparation of supervisors’ schedules, communicate with regional office staff and other Department personnel regarding operational and staffing issues.

Requirements of the Toll Collector Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 months experience.
  • Cash handling experience on a computerized system.
  • Able to work weekend hours based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, while following safety and lifting procedures.
  • Ability to safely walk across toll lanes while fully elevating and extending arm closest to oncoming traffic to ‘shoulder blade height’ in a ‘stop motion’ (arm extended with palm held out) to signal oncoming traffic and while carrying work related items in the other arm.
  • Ability to climb and descend tunnel stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk long distances. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships. Achieves expectations on fund management, revenue collection and deposit accuracy, attendance and customer service.
  • Performs duties of toll facility manager in his or her absence, successful completion of the Supervisor in Training Program.
  • Ability to supervisor others. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Time management and organizational skills. Ability to interpret and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Computer skills Must have Valid Drivers Class E License. Employer Conducts Background, Drug Screening/Testing and Motor Vehicle Checks.

Work Schedule: Part-Time (days and hours vary).

Salary: $8.87 – $10.54 per hour (Depends on Experience).

2. Position: Toll Collector.

Job Responsibilities of the Toll Collector :

  • Classify vehicles and collect proper toll amounts from motorists traveling through a toll lane.
  • Make change for various U.S. bill denominations in a timely manner, issue receipts to motorists and write insufficient fund slips.
  • Complete operational reports reflecting toll lane activity.
  • At end of shift, balance cash and prepare cash deposits on monies collected and tickets received.
  • Communicate with motorists and respond to inquiries.
  • Provides on the job training to new hired toll collectors and existing employees when required.
  • Performs the responsibilities of the toll collector supervisor when required.

Requirements of the Toll Collector:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 months experience.
  • Required availability to work weekend hours based on business needs.
  • Cash handling experience on a computerized system.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, while following proper safety and lifting procedures.
  • Ability to safely walk across toll lanes while fully elevating and extending arm closest to oncoming traffic to ‘shoulder blade height’ in a ‘stop motion’ (arm extended with palm held out) to signal oncoming traffic and while carrying work related items in the other arm.
  • Ability to climb and descend tunnel stairs while carrying up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to walk long distances. Ability to determine vehicle classification.
  • Ability to determine correct tolls based on a numerical table provided.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
  • Ability to deal with the public.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a high volume of transactions to be processed under demanding conditions.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to conduct on the job training, successful completion of the “Train the Trainer” program.
  • Able to perform supervisory responsibilities, successful completion of the toll collector supervisor on the job training and the “Supervisor in Training” classroom program.
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment, subject to weather conditions.
  • Must have Valid Drivers Class E License.
  • Employer Conducts Background, Drug Screening/Testing and Motor Vehicle Checks.

Work Schedule: Part-Time (days and hours vary).

Salary: $8.52 – $9.63 per hour (Depends on Experience).
