Job Title: Floor Specialist

Requirements: Must have a minimum of one (1) year of floor care experience. Must have knowledge of floor equipment including dual speed floor machines, extractors, and other various floor machines. Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Job Responsibilities: The Floor Specialist is responsible for all facets of floor care, this includes carpet cleaning, tile and grout restoration, and cleaning and maintaining other hard floor surfaces. Duties include: Spin Bonnet Cleaning, Carpet Extraction- Deep Cleaning, Carpet Shampooing, Carpet Spot Removal, Dry/Wet Vacuuming, Spray Buffing, Floor Stripping, Floor Waxing, Tile & Grout Maintenance, Tile & Grout Restoration, All Hard Surface Floor Care, Tile Cleaning, Baseboard Cleaning, Assistance with Night Custodial duties (if needed).

Salary: $8.75 per hour.

Job Title: Guest Room Attendant

Requirements: No experience necessary. Must be able to perform housekeeping tasks which require bending, lifting, carrying, standing for long periods of time and being active throughout the shift. Must work to complete all rooms before 4:p.m. Must have verbal communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and perform a variety of duties as assigned. Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Job Responsibilities: Cleans full size kitchen including washing of dishes, ovens, pots/pans, refrigerators and stove tops. Cleans bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces using cloths, sponges, brushes and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping. Strips and makes beds, changes bed lines, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 30 pounds. Dusts all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly. Vacuums carpets and area rugs, sweeps and mops all tile floor areas. Replenishes amenities in Welcome Pack, changes linens and supplies in guestrooms.
Sorts, folds and distributes linen as needed leaving the room Complete for the Guest. Performs periodic heavy cleaning/deep cleaning of rooms on an assigned basis. Transports dirty linen to the laundry or linen chute. Keeps Room Attendant’s cart/supplies stocked and orderly. Inspects rooms for cleanliness and reports completion of task list. Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Requirements: Must possess Supervisory skills and have one year of supervisory experience. Must have flexibility and be able to work with a diverse staff. Must be able to communicate and maintain relationships between room attendants and all of Housekeeping Staff. Must be Guest-service oriented. Must be able to prioritize workload, be and work under pressure. Must be able to complete tasks to Company standards. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and bend. Must be able to life up to 50 lbs. Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Job Responsibilities: Performs daily inspections of guestrooms and public areas assigned to meet Company standard of cleanliness. Receives function sheets; housekeeping reports; reviews content for conflicts in time, place and scheduling of staff and equipment. Required to inspect/supervise a maximum of 30 check outs per day, minimum of 20 check outs per day, and an equivalent amount of 60 services. Inspects all guestrooms in assigned area by day’s end (4:p.m.). Prepares and strips rooms for the housekeeper by removing linens, trash, putting dishes in dishwasher, pre-treating grout… with proper cleaning chemicals for best results and maintenance of mold and mildew free bathrooms and hot tub area. Inspects housekeeper’s supplies for proper chemicals, carts and vacuums are in working order; notifies the supervisor if more staff is needed. Completes/reports and follows up on all Maintenance Requests and calls in Housekeeping Requests as needed via radio communication or contacts the Housekeeping Office Reports and ensures any items missing or needing replacement, i.e., bedspreads, wastebaskets, shower liners, kitchen items are retrieved and replaced from Supervisor storage. Reports and follow-up on any issues reported. Confirms late or Early Check outs for Housekeeping Office, Building Managers and Director of Housekeeping. Reports dirty carpets, drapes, etc. to Housekeeping Office to assign to the Floor team, Laundry supervisor. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, injuries, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately. Performs other job-related duties as directed. Adheres to Company standards for Guest Service. Refers Guest problems or complaints to supervisor.

Job Title: Houseperson

Requirements: No experience necessary. Must be able and stand for long periods of time. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Must be adaptable and able to perform in a variety of duties. Must be able to work well with a variety of people. Must be safety-conscious at all times with equipment as well as chemicals. Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Job Responsibilities: Pickup and delivery of linen to storages; pools; picks up soiled linen from housekeeping bins. Cleans restrooms, replaces supplies, and mops floors, vacuums, empties trash, and dusts. Cleans interior and exterior windows and ensures windows are free of cobwebs, cleans exterior porches, and light fixtures. Delivers requests from other departments and guest rooms, i.e., hair dryers, ironing boards, pack and plays and roll a ways, etc. Signs out cart on a daily basis and maintains proper care of carts, i.e., completes necessary cart maintenance requests for repair, empties cart at the end of the shift. Takes cart to auto shop weekly for PM maintenance. Maintains vacuum cleaners and prepares Maintenance Requests for repairs. Completes turndown of guestrooms when assigned. Empties all unit trash, all public trash areas as assigned. Cleans guest’s rooms as needed when shorthanded. Moves furniture as required. Picks up department recycle items as scheduled or directed. Performs floor work as needed. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately. Adheres to Company standards for guest service. Refers guest problems or complaints to supervisor according to Company guest problem resolution policy. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
