Job Title: Merchandise Associate

Job Requirements: Minimum one to three months experience. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Basic Computer Skills and interpersonal skills. Able to lift / or move 40lbs. Valid Class E driver’s license. Employer conducts Background Check. Customer Service experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
•Provide prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all customers. Supports any area of the store as directed by store management. Responds quickly and efficiently to all job related requests (i.e., ringing register, responding to pages, answering customer inquiries regarding general information such as price checks and general questions).
•Process and prepares merchandise for the sales floor. (e.g. unloads trucks, unpacks cartons, tickets items). Fills fixtures in the prescribed fashion manner. Executes merchandising policies and maintains merchandising standards (features, ticketing, signing).
•Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day. Maintains cleanliness and organizational standards through the store (i.e., register areas, processing, and fixtures). Returns all un-purchased/returned merchandise to the sales floor.
•Follows all register policies and procedures including check/charge procedures, refunds, merchandise credits, voids, cash pickups and register security. Executes all operational controls as per company guidelines (service desk, cash office, markdown book, ticketing, markdown guns). Identifies and communicates all shrink related concerns to management and loss prevention. Supports all of the store’s shrink reduction programs.

Work Schedule: Part-Time, Hours/Days Vary

Job Responsibilities:

•Supports and responds to all Front End coverage needs
•Supports and responds to all Dressing Room and Jewelry needs
•Takes an active role in the training and mentoring of Associates on Merchandise guidelines, protection standards and best Methods
•Partners with management on the current training needs of Associates in order to increase effectiveness
•Communicates with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides periodic progress updates
•Adhere to all labor laws and Associate meal and break period policies
•Reviews appropriate reports for incoming receipts and partners with management to plan accordingly
•Executes and adheres to all Company directives, supporting Operational Risk Assessment (ORA)
•Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and Single Queue
•Partners with the Bathroom Coordinator to ensure the timely flow of goods to the sales floor supporting Door to Floor
•Acts as a Coordinator on Duty supporting the stocking team as needed
•Partners with management ensuring all markdowns are taken in accordance with company guidelines; following up on variances
•Organizes and assists with the movement of goods from regular price to clearance during open markdown files
•Ensures “go backs” are promptly returned to the sales floor, properly tagged and hung
•Ensures the execution and maintenance of all merchandising standards
•Oversees the execution and compliance of all re wraps
•Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and value equation
•Partners on ensuring Single Queue is full, impactful, and set per company guidelines
•Adheres and upholds all merchandise and signage standards
•Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured and coded per company guidelines
•Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
•Ensures all operational loss prevention controls are in accordance with company guidelines and policies
•Ensures proper handling of damages and no tickets
•Identifies and communicates alert signals and potential safety issues to management and loss prevention
•Promotes safety awareness and supports the maintenance of a risk-free environment

•Performs all daily Cash Office functions including reconciling register funds, researching variances, preparing deposits, and monitoring cashier compliance and applicable paperwork
•Maintains Cash Office Smart including physical security and asset protection standards in accordance with company policies
•Assists in scheduling process by entering requests for time off, Associate availability, job sets and daily time card edits
•Conducts the monthly supply requisition, maintaining proper inventory and organization of all supplies
•Supports the management team in Motivational Programs and maintenance of Lounge Smart

•Ensures physical security of the backroom is maintained including key controls, recycling / trash, and locked doors
•Promotes safety awareness and supports the maintenance of a risk-free environment
•Other duties as assigned
