Meet Jacquelise

Jacquelise, a U.S. Army Veteran, came to Central Florida searching for a new direction following her service. Relocating from Georgia, she wanted to rediscover her purpose and began visiting CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF), a decision that would reignite her passion and set her on a fulfilling path. The support and encouragement from the dedicated staff at CSCF played a pivotal role in her career transformation.

Jacquelise realized that many individuals are homeless or underemployed because they are not tapping into the available resources, and she is determined to change that. Jacquelise discovered an exciting opportunity with Public Allies, an apprenticeship program designed to teach the ins and outs of running a nonprofit organization. This program was the spark that aligned with her mission of starting her own nonprofit focused on serving underserved communities.

Now, with renewed focus and purpose, Jacquelise is excited about the future and the impact she will make through her nonprofit. Jacquelise emphasized that CSCF’s support continues once a job is secured and continues to provide guidance and assistance, ensuring long-term success. Jacquelise is particularly grateful for her CSCF Career Consultant, who has become more than just a Career Consultant, but a true friend who has supported her through laughter, tears, and celebrations. “Getting back into the workforce again, finding what my purpose was again and just learning myself again – I found that with being here at CareerSource Central Florida,” said Jacquelise.
