We have been honored by Governor Ron DeSantis with the Veterans Performance Incentive Award for our exemplary work providing training and employment opportunities to thousands of veterans across the region — granting $39,000 to further enhance our priority services of individualized career coaching, advance skills training, and job placement activities to help veterans transition from military service to a civilian career.
We’re honored to receive this prestigious award but even more honored to serve our 3,000 military heroes and their families by supporting them along their career journey. We’ll be using these funds to expand the services provided to veterans as they transition from their military career to their next career opportunity
The Veterans Performance Incentive Award is awarded to Local Workforce Development Boards in three categories by local workforce development area sizes: large, medium and small. A review committee comprised of representatives from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, CareerSource Florida and the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training reviewed the nominations and selected the award recipients.
