High School Career Express
Explore Careers and Build Skills While
You’re Still in High School
Are you a high school junior or senior? High School Career Express is a 7–10-week career exploration program available to juniors and seniors in the Fall and Spring across select high schools in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter counties. Students earn stipends while gaining early exposure to careers through hands-on experiences with local business. This program helps you make informed decisions about your future before you leave high school.

Summer Youth Program
Explore. Engage. Experience.
Are you a high school student between the ages of 14-19? You can earn a minimum of $1,200 while investing in yourself and your future. Choose from three tracks: Explore, Engage, or Experience.
This summer, get to know careers and college life, get training for a specific career, or earn wages working a job.

Success Story: Jayden Graham
“CareerSource Central Florida is giving an amazing opportunity for students to get immersed in the workforce and start thinking about what’s next.” During his internship with the Florida Semiconductor Institute, Jayden played a key role in supporting semiconductor education initiatives for K–12 students, equipping teachers with valuable resources that will positively impact Florida’s future workforce.
Throughout the program, Jayden strengthened essential skills including responsibility, communication, leadership, and self-advocacy. He is now pursuing aerospace engineering with a concentration in education at MIT.
