CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) serves as the local workforce development board for a five-county region including Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter counties. CSCF delivers career support and skill development to bridge success between people and business, driving economic growth and improving quality of life.
The role of workforce development boards is critical for communities across the nation. When a local resident needs support getting started on their career journey or a business is looking for more talent, workforce development boards are there to guide them. Empowering people with the right skills and connecting them to meaningful opportunities makes brighter futures possible.
Last year, CSCF served more than 36,000 customers and placed 4,934 customers in jobs. The numbers are just the beginning. The real impact is seen in the powerful individual success stories of CSCF customers who gain access to new opportunities.
Carol Blair, a U.S. Veteran who joined CSCF’S Access to Career Pathways program, is an inspiring example. The program gave Carol hope for a fresh start and helped her overcome barriers to employment. Through a 12-week internship, she gained valuable experience and soon transitioned into a new role as a teacher at a local private school.
Carol’s journey demonstrates the impact of workforce development, opening doors and new opportunities, building confidence, and helping individuals create meaningful careers.
